Abstract

Fonološka se osjetljivost definira kao osjetljivost na fonološku strukturu riječi i osjetljivost na glasove te sposobnost njihovog mentalnog upravljanja. Navodi se da je to sposobnost raščlanjivanja govornih odsječaka na manje jedinice. Fonološka osjetljivost se još može nazvati predčitačkim vještinama koje se vežu za usvajanje čitanja. Abstract (english)

Phonological awareness is defined as the sensitivity to the phonological structure of words and the sensitivity to phonemes as well as the ability to mentally control them. It is the ability of breaking down larger speech sections into smaller units. Phonological awareness is also called pre-reading skills which are important for reading acquisition. One of the mediators through which children can develop these skills are children's libraries. Research on the activities of... More children's libraries in the development of phonological sensitivity shows that 50% of the activities are related to phonological awareness and that all librarians recognize the library as a place where such activities are welcome and important for the development of children's reading skills.
