Abstract

This thesis comprises a translation of Joseph Brodsky’s 1986 essay In a Room and a Half from English into Croatian (U sobi i pol) with a brief introduction to the global significance of the author, an interpretation of the essay and a discussion of the translation process.

Ovaj diplomski rad sastoji se od prijevoda eseja „In a room and a half” Iosifa Brodskoga s engleskog jezika na hrvatski („U sobi i pol”), kratkog uvoda u značaj autora u svjetskoj književnosti, osvrta na sam esej i rasprave prevoditeljskog procesa.

Эта дипломная работа содержит перевод эссе «Полторы комнаты» Иосифа Бродского с английского на хорватский язык («U sobi i pol»), краткое введение в важность автора в мировой литературе, интерпретацию самого эссе и дискуссию переводческого процесса.
