Abstract

Disleksija kao poremećaj čitanja predstavlja veliku teškoću učenicima u svladavanju obrazovnih zahtjeva; takvih je učenika u hrvatskih školama sve više, dok istovremeno postoji nedostatak stručnjaka koji bi im pružali podršku. Zbog toga je važno da se školski knjižničar uključi u pružanje odgojno-obrazovne podrške učenicima s disleksijom. Nakon što se upozna sa pravnim propisima i obilježjima disleksije, može planirati intervencije u radu. Intervencije trebaju biti usmjerene na obrazovnu podršku kako bi učenici što uspješnije ovladali čitanjem, ali i na odgojnu podršku kako bi doprinijeli razvoju cjelokupne ličnosti učenika. Uz neposredan rad s učenikom, važno je i stvaranje mreže podrške koju čini tim stručnjaka unutar škole, roditelji i institucije izvan škole s kojima školski knjižničar može surađivati. Koristeći sve izvore podrške kao i vlastite kompetencije, motivirani školski knjižničar može znatno doprinijeti napretku učenika s disleksijom.

Abstract (english)

Dyslexia as a reading disorder represents a great difficulty in overcoming educational requests for school children; the number of pupils with dyslexia in Croatian schools has risen, while there is a shortage of experts who would give their support to those children. Therefore, it is crucial to involve school librarians in giving educational support for children with dyslexia. After they familiarize themselves with the legal rules and common characteristics of dyslexia, school librarians can plan their interventions in working with children. Those interventions should target educational support in order for pupils to master reading as successfully as they can, but should also target care support in order to encourage a holistic child development. Along with direct work with a pupil, it is important to create a supporting team which is made of school experts, as well as parents and relevant institutions that the librarians can cooperate with. By using diverse sources of support as well as their own competence, motivated school librarians can significantly contribute to the progress of children diagnosed with dyslexia disorder.
