Abstract

Cilj ovog rada je provjeriti koje su osobitosti izgovora portugalskog jezika kod studenata portugalskog jezika i književnosti na Filozofskom fakultetu u Zagrebu. U istraživanju je sudjelovalo 15 studenata čiji je materinski jezik hrvatski. Studenti su u studiju za akustička snimanja snimili materijal koji se sastojao od (kvazi)spontanog i čitaćeg govornog stila. Rezultati ovog rada pokazuju kako je izgovor portugalskog jezika prilagođen fonetskom sustavu hrvatskog jezika. U sveukupnim rezultatima istraživanja, hrvatski govornici ne razlikuju poluotvorene vokale [ɛ] i [ɔ] od poluzatvorenih vokala [e] i [o] te je u 83 % primjera izgovorena poluzatvorena varijanta. Govornici su centralizirali vokale [e] i [ɛ] u nenaglašenom slogu u svim pozicijama u riječi, vokale [o] i [ɔ] su reducirali u finalnoj poziciji, dok je vokal [a] većinom nereduciran. Nazalizacija vokala uz nazalni konsonant [n] provedena je u 54 % slučajeva, dok je glas [n] izgovoren u gotovo svim primjerima. Govornici su u 67 % slučajeva velarizirali glas [l] na finalnoj poziciji u slogu, ali su također velarizirali glas i na nefinalnim pozicijama u slogu. Frikativ /S/ na finalnoj poziciji u riječi asimilirao se u 49 % slučajeva, dok je najčešća realizacija glasa bila u obliku bezvučnog frikativa [ʃ]. Abstract (english)

The aim of this study is to determine the specific characteristics of the Portuguese language pronunciation among students of Portuguese language and literature at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb. The results of this study show that the pronunciation of the Portuguese language is influenced by the phonetic system of the Croatian language. The results reveal that Croatian speakers do not distinguish between the open-mid vowels [ɛ] and [ɔ] and the close-mid vowels [e] and [o], while the close-mid variant is pronounced in 83 % of all cases. The speakers centralized the vowels [e] and [ɛ] in unstressed syllables in all word positions, the vowels [o] and [ɔ] were reduced in the final position, while the vowel [a] was mostly unreduced. The nasalization of vowels alongside the nasal consonant [n] occurred in 54 % of cases, while the consonant [n] was pronounced in almost all examples. In 67 % of cases, the speakers velarized the consonant [l] in the final syllable position but also velarized it in non-final syllable positions. The fricative /S/ in the final word position is assimilated in 49 % of cases, with the most common realization being the voiceless fricative [ʃ].
