Abstract

Svrha ovog rada je prikazati vulgarnolatinske osobine u jeziku pompejanskih zidnih natpisa iz korpusa E. Diehla. Analiza pravopisnih pogrešaka pridonosi boljem razumijevanju fonoloških, u nekoj mjeri i morfoloških, promjena u govornom latinskom jeziku, dok analiza slaganja riječi, rečenica te značenja pojedinih riječi pridonosi razumijevanju sintaktičkih i leksičkih obilježja jezika. Sadržaj pompejanskih zidnih natpisa pak pruža uvid u različite aspekte svakodnevnog života stanovnika Pompeja.

Abstract (english)

This thesis’ purpose is to indicate the features of spoken Latin in the language of the Pompeian wall inscriptions belonging to the collection of inscriptions made by E. Diehl. The analysis of misspellings contributes to the better understanding of the phonological, to some extent even morphological, changes in the spoken Latin, while the analysis of word arrangement, sentences and the meaning of particular words contributes to the understanding of the syntactic and lexical characteristics of the language. On the other hand, the content of the Pompeian wall inscriptions provide an insight into the different aspects of everyday life of the inhabitants of Pompeii.
