Abstract

U ovom radu opisan je povijesni razvoj tiskarstva u Osmanskom Carstvu i važnost İbrahima Müteferrike i njegove prve tiskare. Razvoj tiskarstva u Europi započeo je J. Gutenbergom i njegovim otkrićem tiskarskog stroja u 15. stoljeću. Razlog zbog kojeg je tiskarstvo stiglo u Osmansko Carstvo tek 275 godina nakon otkrića tiskarskog stroja je važno pitanje koje je znanstvenike i brojne autore navelo na istraživanja, a samim time je i jedan od razloga pisanja ovog rada. U ovom radu su istraženi i objašnjeni mogući razlozi zbog kojih se tiskarstvo u Osmanskom Carstvu razvilo poprilično kasno u odnosu na Europu te povijesni okvir u kojem se osnovala prva turska tiskara. Navedeni su i prvi radovi koji su tiskani u prvoj tiskari. Također, istaknuta je i važnost samog İbrahima Müteferrike, njegov život i djelo.

Abstract (english)

This paper describes the historical development of printing in the Ottoman Empire and the importance of İbrahim Müteferrika and his first printing house. The development of printing in Europe began with J. Gutenberg and his discovery of the printing press in the 15th century. The reason why printing arrived in the Ottoman Empire only 275 years after the discovery of the printing press is an important question that has led scientists and numerous authors to research, and thus is one of the reasons for writing this paper. This paper explores and explains the possible reasons why printing in the Ottoman Empire developed quite late compared to Europe, as well as the historical framework in which the first Turkish printing house was founded. The first works that were printed in the first printing house are also listed. Also, the importance of İbrahim Müteferrika himself, his life and work, was highlighted.
