Abstract

Diese Masterarbeit beschäftigt sich mit den Sprachbiografien von Gymnasialschülern aus Split und Zagreb, die Deutsch als Fremdsprache lernen. Die Daten wurden in Form von Interviews mit 6 Informanten gesammelt. Der erste theoretische Teil der Arbeit beschäftigt sich mit Sprachbiografien und die geografisch-historischen Unterschieden zwischen den beiden Städten von Split und Zagreb. Im zweiten Teil der Arbeit werden die durchgeführten Interviews vorgestellt und analysiert, um herauszufinden, was ihre Motivation zum Deutschlernen beeinflusst hat. Die Daten aus den sechs Sprachbiografien weisen darauf hin, dass die eigenen intrinsischen und extrinsischen Faktoren die Motivation beim Deutschlernen beeinflussen, aber auch die DeutschlehrerInnen spielen dabei eine große Rolle, viel mehr als geografisch-historische Faktoren.

Abstract (english)

This master's thesis deals with the language biographies of high school students in Split and Zagreb that learn German as a foreign language. The data was collected in form of interviews with 6 informants. The first theoretical part of the paper deals with language biographies and geographical-historical differences between the two cities of Split and Zagreb. The second part of the paper presents and analyzes the conducted interviews in order to find out what influenced their level of motivation to learn German. The data from the six language biographies indicates that one's own intrinsic and extrinsic factors influence the level of motivation in learning German, but also the German teachers plays a major role in it, much more than geographic-historical factors.

Abstract (croatian)

Ovaj diplomski rad se bavi jezičnim biografijama učenika jezičnih gimnazija u Splitu i Zagrebu koji uče njemački kao strani jezik. Podaci su prikupljeni u obliku intervjua sa 6 ispitanika. Prvi teoretski dio rada se bavi se jezičnim biografijama te zemljopisno-povijesnim razlikama između gradova Splita i Zagreba. Drugi dio rada predstavlja i analizira provedene intervjue kako bi se saznalo što je utjecalo na njihovu razinu motivacije učenja njemačkog. Provedene jezične biografiju utvrđuju da vlastiti intrinsični i ekstrinzični faktori utječu na razinu motivacije pri učenju njemačkog jezika, ali također i velikim dijelom profesor/profesorica jezika, puno više nego zemljopisno-povijesni čimbenici.
