Abstract

U ovom će se radu, na temelju djela Sefardska žena u Bosni, autorice Laure Papo Bohorete objasniti identitet sefardske žene u Bosni. Na početku rada objasnit će se pojam identiteta te elementi koji utječu na njegov razvoj. Pokazat će se kako društvo, povijest, religija, ali i tradicija utječu na identitet nekog naroda ili pojedinca.
U ovom slučaju, sefardska je povijest bogata karakteristikama i događajima u tom procesu izgradnje karaktera. Samim time, velik dio rada bit će posvećen povijesti sefardskog naroda i objasnit će njezine najvažnije točke, od dolaska Židova na Iberski poluotok, progona Židova, pa sve do dolaska na Balkanski poluotok.
Također će se objasniti i položaj Židova tijekom muslimanske vlasti u Al-Andalusu, na području koje je u 8. stoljeću osnovalo muslimansko stanovništvo. Potom će se prikazati progoni Židova s Iberskog poluotoka nakon pada Al-Andalusa, te njihov dolazak na Balkansko područje. Objasnit će se i nastanak naziva Sefardi, te judeošpanjolskog, jezika kojeg su odnijeli s Iberskog poluotoka. Taj jezik predstavlja važnu karakteristiku Sefarda, a posebice sefardske žene u Bosni koja je imala veliku ulogu u očuvanju tog jezika. Jezik se prenosio s generacije na generaciju čak i izvan Iberskog poluotoka, pod utjecajem novih kultura, tradicija i jezika. U nastavku rada, pomoću djela Sefardska žena u Bosni, analizirat će se položaj sefardske žene u Bosni na temelju brojnih opisa tradicija koje iznosi autorica.

Abstract (english)

This paper aims to explain the identity of the Sephardic woman in Bosnia on the basis of Sephardic woman in Bosnia, a novel by Laura Papo Bohoreta. At the beginning, this paper explains the concept of identity and elements that influence its development. It also shows how society, history, religion, but also tradition influence the identity of a nation or an individual.
In this case, Sephardic history is rich in characteristics and events in the process of character building. Therefore, a large part of the paper is devoted to the history of the Sephardic people and explains its most important points, from the arrival of the Jews to the Iberian Peninsula, the persecution of the Jews, and all the way to the arrival of the Jews to the Balkan Peninsula.
Moreover, the paper explains the position of the Jews during Muslim rule in Al-Andalus, an area founded by the Muslim population in the 8th century. Furthermore, the paper discusses the persecution of the Jews from the Iberian Peninsula after the fall of Al-Andalus, and their arrival in the Balkans. The paper also shows the origin of the name Sephardim and Judeo-Spanish, the language they brought from the Iberian Peninsula. This language represents an important characteristic of Sephardic Jews, and especially of Sephardic women in Bosnia, who played a major role in preserving the language, which was passed down from generation to generation even outside the Iberian Peninsula under the influence of new cultures, traditions and languages. The paper then analyses the position of Sephardic women in Bosnia based on numerous descriptions of traditions presented by the author in the novel Sephardic woman in Bosnia.
