Abstract

Unutar ovog rada provedeno je istraživanje nakladniče politike Ženskog lista za modu zabavu i kućanstvo, prvog hrvatskog lista namijenjenog za žene. List je izlazio u periodu od 1925. do 1938. godine pod uredničkim vodstvom Marije Jurić Zagorke. Međuratno doba bilo je obilježeno vrlo turbulentnim događajima koji su značajno utjecali i na nakladničku industriju.
Rad donosi povijesni pregled događaja u svijetu s naglaskom na situaciju u Kraljevini SHS i poslije, Kraljevini Jugoslaviji. Slijedi pregledni dio razvoja časopisa za žene u zapadnoj Europi, SAD-u i Kraljevini Jugoslaviji. Početkom 20. stoljeća počinje se izdavati sve više ženskih časopisa, a s vremenom im naklade sve više rastu.
Nakon toga je provedena analiza samog časopisa na takav način da je iz svake godine uzet po jedan primjerak. Unutar analize se proučilo kako se mijenjao broj stranica, oglasi unutar časopisa kojima se djelomično financirao, grafičko-likovno uređenje, autorstva članaka te razne specifičnosti koje su obilježile određene brojeve. Naglasak je na osjetljivosti uredništva i uprave Ženskog lista na komentare i sugestije svojih čitateljice te kako su sukladno tome oblikovali svako izdanja časopisa.

Abstract (english)

This paper presents a research on the publishing policy of "Ženski list za modu zabavu i kućanstvo," the first Croatian magazine for women. The magazine was published from 1925 to 1938 under the editorial leadership of Marija Jurić Zagorka. The interwar period was marked by very turbulent events that significantly influenced the publishing industry.
The paper provides a historical overview of world events with a focus on the situation in the Kingdom of SHS and later, the Kingdom of Yugoslavia. It also includes a review of the development of women's magazines in Western Europe, the United States, and the Kingdom of Yugoslavia. In the early 20th century, an increasing number of women's magazines began to be published, and their circulations grew over time.
Subsequently, an analysis of the magazine itself was conducted by selecting one issue from each year. The analysis examined how the number of pages, advertisements, graphic design, authorship of articles, and various specific features changed in different issues. The emphasis is on the sensitivity of the editorial board and management of "Ženski list" to the comments and suggestions of its readers, and how they shaped each issue of the magazine accordingly.
