Abstract

Tema završnog rada je disonantna baština Holokausta koja je objašnjena na primjerima Židovskog muzeja u Berlinu, Auschwitz-Birkenaua, Yad Vashema u Jeruzalemu i Jasenovca. Početak rada bavi se problematikom značenja pojma baštine, što je baština nekad označavala i kako su muzejske zajednice kroz vrijeme morale proširiti značenje tog pojma.
Baština se prije definirala kao nešto materijalno naslijeđeno iz prošlosti, no ta definicija se morala proširiti na nematerijalna bogatstva, procese i iskustva koja su usko vezana uz materijalnu baštinu i bez koje materijalna baština ne bi ni bila značajna. U sklopu rada je objašnjen pojam disonantnosti kao nesklada i interpretacije pojma teške baštine koja spada po nju. Fokus ovog rada svodi se na predstavljanje i uspoređivanje odabranih primjera kao muzeja teške baštine, te na koji način komuniciraju i približuju baštinu posjetiteljima. U radu se navode povijesti izgradnje odabranih muzeja, glavni muzejski postavi i specijalnosti koje svaki od navedenih muzeja ima.

Abstract (english)

The topic of the final thesis is the dissonant heritage of the Holocaust, explained through examples such as the Jewish Museum in Berlin, A-B, Y-V in Jerusalem and Jasenovac. The beginning of the thesis addresses the concept of heritage, what heritage used to signify, and how museum communities over time had to expand the meaning of that concept.
Heritage was previously defined as something material inherited from the past, but this definition had to be expanded to include intangible assets, processes, and experiences closely related to material heritage, without which material heritage would not be significant. The thesis explains the concept of dissonance as a discord and interprets the concept of difficult heritage to wich it belongs. The focus of this thesis is on presenting and comparing selected examples as museums of difficult heritage anr how they comnunicate and bring heritage closer to visitors. The thesis provides information on the history of the construction of the selected museums, their main museum displays and tge specialities that each of the mentioned museum has.
