Abstract

Cilj ovog istraživanja bio je ispitati povezanost između samoprocjena rukovoditelja na transformacijskom stilu vođenja i procjena njihovih podređenih te kojim čimbenicima možemo objasniti razlike koje u njima postoje. Prošla su istraživanja pokazala da na točnost samoprocjene utječu različiti čimbenici kao što su demografske karakteristike, osobine ličnosti i kognitivne sposobnosti osobe. U našem smo istraživanju ispitivali postoji li razlika između rukovoditelja koji se precjenjuju na transformacijskom stilu vođenja, onih koji se podcjenjuju i onih čije samoprocjene se ne razlikuju od procjena podređenih ovisno o njihovom spolu, osobinama ličnosti, kognitivnim sposobnostima te sposobnosti aktivnog otvorenog mišljenja. Rezultati ovog istraživanja su pokazali da postoji tek niska povezanost između samoprocjena rukovoditelja na transformacijskom stilu vođenja s procjenama njihovih podređenih. Ipak, nije dobivena statistički značajna razlika između tri grupe rukovoditelja kada su u pitanju demografski i psihološki čimbenici koji su uključeni u analizu. Buduće studije u ovom području možda bi trebale razmotriti druge potencijalne čimbenike te uključiti veći broj sudionika kako bi se dobilo veće razumijevanje i vjerodostojniji rezultati o razlikama koje postoje između samoprocjena i procjena drugih.

Abstract (english)

The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between managers' self-assessments of their transformational leadership style and the assessments made by their subordinates, as well as to identify the factors that may explain the differences between them. Previous research has shown that the accuracy of self-assessments is influenced by various factors such as demographic characteristics, personality traits, and cognitive abilities. In our research, we examined whether there were differences among managers who overestimate their transformational leadership style, those who underestimate it, and those whose self-assessments do not differ from subordinate ratings based on their gender, personality traits, cognitive abilities, and the ability for open-minded thinking. The results of this study showed that there was only a low correlation between managers' self-assessments of their transformational leadership style and the assessments made by their subordinates. However, no statistically significant difference was found among the three groups of managers in terms of the demographic and psychological factors included in the analysis. Future studies in this area may need to consider other potential factors and include a larger number of participants to gain a better understanding and more reliable results regarding the differences between self-reports and others' ratings.
