Abstract

Cilj ovog rada je proučiti i predstaviti djetinjstvo i život djece u židovstvu. U radu će se predstaviti značaj obitelji, uloga djeteta u obitelji i uloga roditelja. Namjera je uvesti čitatelja u život židovske obitelji i vjerske rituale vezane uz rođenje i odrastanje. U radu će se dati na uvid izvori iz židovskih vjerskih knjiga i rabinske literature, koji nalažu i objašnjavaju odgoj, postupanje prema djeci i smjernice u edukaciji djece u duhu Židovstva. Nadalje, u radu će se obrazložiti vjerski rituali poput obrezivanja, otkupa prvorođenaca te bar i bat micve, gdje će se moći vidjeti razlika između dječaka i djevojčica koja ih priprema na uloge koje će ih pratiti u odrasloj dobi. Kroz rad će se moći vidjeti nerazdvojivost Židovskog naroda od edukacije, koja je jedan od temelja odrastanja te je upravo ona u većini slučajeva omogućila opstanak Židovskog stanovništva u dijaspori. Također ćemo se dotaknuti teme umjetne oplodnje i posvajanja te stav rabinskih autoriteta prema tome. Za izradu završnog rada korištena je dostupna literatura o izabranoj temi.

Abstract (english)

The aim of this paper is to study and present the childhood and life of children in Judaism. The paper will present the importance of the family, the role of the child in the family and the role of the parents. The intention is to introduce the reader to the life of a Jewish family and religious rituals related to birth and growing up. In the paper, sources from Jewish religious books and rabbinical literature will be presented, which prescribe and explain upbringing, treatment of children and guidelines in the education of children in the spirit of Judaism. Furthermore, the paper will explain religious rituals such as circumcision, redemption of first-borns and bar and bat mitzvah, where it will be possible to see the difference between boys and girls, which prepares them for the roles that will accompany them in adulthood. Through the work, it will be possible to see the inseparability of the Jewish people from education, which is one of the foundations of growing up and which in most cases enabled the survival of the Jewish population in the diaspora. We will also touch on the topic of artificial insemination and adoption and the attitude of rabbinic authorities towards it. Available literature on the chosen topic was used to prepare the final paper.
