Abstract

Tema diplomskog rada je bilateralna kohlearna implantacija, njezini preduvjeti te ishodi slušno-govorne rehabilitacije. Cilj ovoga preglednog rada jest opisati bilateralnu implantaciju iz različitih perspektiva te predstaviti važnost i doprinos bilateralne implantacije poput prirodnijeg zvuka i bolje razumljivosti. Fokus rada je usmjeren na bilateralnu implantaciju o čemu gotovo pa da uopće ne postoje objavljeni radovi u Hrvatskoj. Navesti će se statistički podaci o učestalosti ugradnje iz relevantnih izvora, kriteriji bilateralne ugradnje kohlearnog implantata te njezin utjecaj na govorno-jezični razvoj djece, uključujući različite dijelove postoperativnog procesa. Rad će uključiti i strukturiran skup vježbi razvijen za bilateralno implantirane pacijente, koji počiva na Verbotonalnim načelima.

Abstract (english)

The subject of this thesis is bilateral cochlear implantation, its prerequisites, and outcomes in hearing and speech rehabilitation. The aim of this review is to describe bilateral implantation from different perspectives and to present the importance and contribution of bilateral implantation, such as more natural sound and better intelligibility. The focal point of the thesis has been put on bilateral implantation, about which there are almost no published works in Croatia. The statistical data on the frequency of implantation from relevant sources, criteria for bilateral cochlear implantation, and its impact on the speech and language development of children, including different parts of the postoperative process, will be listed. The thesis will also include a structured set of exercises developed for bilateral implanted patients, based on Verbotonal principles.
