Abstract

Diplomski rad Dosada kao pedagoški potencijal podijeljen je u tri veće cjeline. Prvo će se ponuditi pregled različitih pristupa fenomenu dosade, odnosno teorijskih i konceptualnih okvira, te analizirati kontekst unutar kojega je dosada postala relevantan fenomen za današnje društvo. Zatim će se analizirati suvremene prakse povezane uz moguća rješenja protiv dosade, prilikom čega će se istaknuti pozicija koju prosječan čovjek ostvaruje u odnosu spram opisane svakodnevice. U posljednjem dijelu rada fokus je pedagoški potencijal dosade. Društvene znanosti istraživanjem fenomena dosade bave se tek odnedavno, no većinski ih prati negativan predznak – dosada je primarno shvaćena kao nepoželjno stanje od kojega valja pobjeći. Nužno je razložiti zašto dosadu prate negativne konotacije, u sklopu čega valja raspraviti funkcioniranje današnjeg društva te analitički pristupiti dosadi kao društveno relevantnom fenomenu. Potrebno je kritički promisliti odnos koji je društvo izgradilo spram dosade te razmotriti zašto je tome tako i mora li tako biti. U osnovi rada pedagoga jest da individui pristupa tako da mu omogući samosvjestan i slobodan put k vlastitom rastu i razvitku. Stoga bi uloga pedagoga, glede analiziranja dosade i njezinih utjecaja, trebala biti o istome osvještavati pojedince na njihovom putu samoizgrađivanja, s obzirom na to da govorimo o procesima koji su implicitno naučeni i nerijetko duboko internalizirani, a koji direktno utječu na putanju pojedinčeva života. Umjesto zaključnog rezultata, otvorit će se pitanje može li dosada služiti kao jedan od pedagoških alata za bolje razumijevanje vlastitog sebstva na putu k samoostvarenju vlastitoga potencijala.

Abstract (english)

The thesis Boredom as a pedagogical potential is divided into three larger units. Firstly, an examination of various approaches to the phenomenon of boredom will be offered, that is, theoretical and conceptual frameworks, and an analysis of the context within which boredom became a relevant phenomenon for today’s society. Next, contemporary practices that serve as possible solutions against boredom will be analyzed, paying attention to the position that the average person is partaking in everyday life. The last part will focus on the pedagogic potential of boredom. Social sciences have started engaging in the research of the phenomenon of boredom only just recently, but it is mostly viewed negatively – boredom is primarily understood as an undesirable state from which to escape. It is important to analyse why boredom is primarily viewed negatively and to discuss the functioning of today’s society. It is also necessary to think critically about the relationship that society has built in regards to boredom and to consider why this is and whether it must be so. The basis of a pedagogue’s work is to approach an individual in such a way as to enable him a self-conscious and free path to his own growth and development. Therefore, the role of pedagogues should be to raise awareness of boredom and its effects, given that we are talking about processes that are implicitly learned and often deeply internalized, and directly affect the path of one’s life. Instead of a conclusion, the question can boredom serve as one of the pedagogical tools for better understanding of oneself on the way to self-realization of one’s own potential will be opened.
