Abstract

Cilj ovog diplomskog rada je sagledati promjene u praksi galebarenja kroz vrijeme, koristeći rodne aspekte i lažno predstavljanje kao fokus promatranja. Galebarenje se pozicionira unutar romantičnog turizma, te se istražuje rodna neravnopravnost unutar fenomena. Također se galebarenje predstavlja kao izvedbeni oblik, te ga se obrađuje unutar studija predstavljanja. Rad se temelji na intervjuima koji su obavljeni s galebovima i bračnim partnericama galebova. Putem primjera sličnih fenomena u stranoj literaturi naznačuju se razlike i sličnosti između različitih praksi.

Abstract (english)

The goal of this thesis is to examine the changes in the practice of “galebarenje” through time, using gender aspects and false presentation as the focus of researching. “Galebarenje” is positioned within romantic tourism, which gives way to researching gender inequality within the phenomena. “Galebarenje” is also examined as a performance form and is viewed through the lens of performance studies. The thesis is based on interviews which were conducted with “galebovi” and with marital partners of “galebovi”. Through similar examples in foreign literature, differences and similarities between different practices are presented.
