Abstract

Pandemija koronavirusa kojoj trenutno svjedočimo ostavila je mnogostruke i kompleksne ekonomske i društvene posljedice diljem svijeta. Te promjene možemo promatrati i na razini knjižničnog poslovanja, koje se mijenjalo u nekoliko faza koje nazivamo valovima epidemije. Posao djelatnika knjižnice u ovim novonastalim okolnostima postao je izuzetno zahjevan, podrazumijevajući visok stupanj prilagodljivosti i odgovornosti. Uz uobičajene knjižničarske poslove, uvedene su stroge protuepidemijske mjere u skladu s uputama Stožera civilne zaštite Republike Hrvatske. Ovaj diplomski rad obuhvatit će navedene promjene koje su uvedene u samom načinu rada knjižničara i knjižničnog osoblja, pregled alternativnih usluga koje su dostupne korisnicima te analizu mrežnih stranica knjižnica uključujući dostupne obavijesti za građane. U radu će biti prikazan period u kojem knjižnice nisu fizički poslovale, ali i onaj nakon ponovnog otvaranja vrata korisnicima te rada s pojačanim mjerama zaštite i socijalnog distanciranja. Metodologija rada uključuje intervjue sa djelatnicima mreže Knjižnica grada Zagreba, Nacionalne i sveučilišne knjižnice te Knjižnice Filozofskog fakulteta.

Abstract (english)

The ongoing coronavirus pandemic we are currently witnessing has left multiple and complex economic and social consequences around the world. These changes can also be observed at the level of library management, which have shifted in several phases called epidemic waves. Working in a library in these new circumstances has become extremely demanding, implying a high degree of flexibility and responsibility. In addition to the usual library activities, strict anti-epidemic measures have been introduced in accordance with the instructions of the Civil Protection Headquarters of the Republic of Croatia. This thesis will include all the changes introduced in the way librarians and library staff work, an overview of the alternative services available to users, and an analysis of the libraries' websites, including available notices for citizens. The paper will present the period in which libraries were not open for public, but also the one after the reopening to users and working with enhanced protection measures and social distancing. The methodology of the research includes interviews with several employees of the Zagreb City Libraries network, the National and University Library and the Library of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences.
