Abstract

Potrošnja svjetskih zaliha nafte te zagađivanje okoliša prouzrokovano ispušnim
plinovima motora na unutarnje izgaranje, pogonjenih upravo naftnim derivatima dovelo
je do razvoja ideje alternativnog pogona automobila. Kao jedna od glavnih alternativnih
metoda razvila se ideja o automobilima koji koriste električnu energiju za vlastiti pogon.
Brojne vlasti država diljem svijeta prepoznale su električne automobile kao ključan
faktor cestovnog prometa u budućnosti. U radu se nastoji objasniti iznimno malen udjel
električnih automobila u Hrvatskoj kroz socioekonomske čimbenike. Kao glavne
uzročnike malog udjela električnih automobila u ukupnom broju smatra se teška i
problematična tranzicija zajedno s loše provedenom privatizacijom. Država s kojom se
uspoređuju podaci je Portugal, koji zbog vrlo dobrog položaja u svijetu u udjelu
prodanih električnih automobila te određenih sličnosti s Hrvatskom je određen kao
najprimjereniji za usporedbu. Osim tranzicije i privatizacije, od ključne važnosti se
smatra razvoj kvalitetne strategije koja bi povećala udio kupljenih električnih
automobila, ali i gospodarskog sektora vezan uz elektromobilnost.

Abstract (english)

World's oil reserve consumption and environmental pollution caused by the
exhaust gases of internal combustion engines, powered by petroleum products, led to
the development of the idea of alternative car propulsion. As one of the principal
alternative methods, the idea of cars using electricity for their own propulsion has
developed. Numerous government authorities across the globe have recognized electric
cars as a key factor in road traffic in the future. This paper tries to explain the extremely
small share of electric cars in Croatia through socio-economic factors. The main causes
of the small share of electric cars in the total number are considered to be the difficult
and problematic transition along with the poorly implemented privatization. The
country with which the data are compared is Portugal, which due to its strong position
in the world in the share of electric cars sold and certain similarities with Croatia was
determined as the most suitable for comparison. In addition to transition and
privatization, the development of a quality strategy that would increase the share of
purchased electric cars, but also the economic sector related to electromobility, is
considered crucial.
