Abstract

Für die Soziologie ist Liebe ein soziokulturelles Phänomen. Die Art und Weise, wie sie erlebt wird, wird in sozialen Wechselwirkungsprozessen bestimmt sowie von gewissen kulturellen Anweisungen gesteuert. Ihre kulturelle Codierung wird von N. Luhmann Liebessemantik genannt. Literatur ist ein Medium, wo Liebessemantik formuliert und vermittelt wird, was laut diesem Theoretiker im engsten Zusammenhang mit den Veränderungen in der sozialen Ordnung steht. More literarischer Beispiele der Beziehung zwischen der darin entwickelten Liebessemantik und den von der Soziologie identifizierten Entwicklungstendenzen im Bereich der spät- und postmodernen Intimbeziehungen auf den Grund gegangen. Das Korpus umfasst deutschsprachige und in einem Fall irische Gegenwartsliteratur: Ulla Hahns "Liebesarten" (2006), Kathrin Weßlings "Morgen ist es vorbei" (2015), Sally Rooneys "Gespräche mit Freunden" (2017) und Leif Randts "Allegro Pastell" (2020). Im analytischen Teil wird untersucht, ob die im theoretischen Teil dargestellten Veränderungen auch in den fiktional entworfenen Welten zu bemerken sind, was für eine Liebessemantik dabei am Werk ist und welche literarischen Mittel dabei zum Einsatz kommen. Die Ergebnisse zeigen, dass sich die literarischen Konstellationen der Liebe weiterhin teilweise auf die tradierte Liebessemantik der romantischen Liebe stützen, obwohl bei den jüngeren Autoren die vorherrschende Mischsemantik eher im Einklang mit dem Ideal der Partnerschaft und der reinen Beziehung (Giddens) ist. Abstract (english)

For sociology, love is a sociocultural phenomenon. The way it is experienced is determined in social interactions and defined by certain cultural instructions. Its cultural coding is referred to by N. Luhmann as the semantics of love. Literature is a media in which the semantics of love are formulated and communicated, which according to this theorist is most closely linked to changes in the social order. More developed semantics of love and the trends identified by sociology in the field of late and postmodern intimate relationships. The corpus includes contemporary German and, in one case, Irish literature: Ulla Hahn's "Liebesarten" (2006), Kathrin Weßling's "Morgen ist es vorbei" (2015), Sally Rooney's "Gespräche mit Freunden" (2017) and Leif Randt's "Allegro Pastel" (2020). The analytical part explores whether the changes presented in the theoretical part are also noticeable in the fictionalized worlds, what kind of semantics of love are created and by which literary means this is achieved. The results show that literary constellations of love partly continue to be based on the traditional semantics of romantic love, although a mixed semantics prevails among the younger authors, which is more in line with the ideal of partnership and of the pure relationship (Giddens).
