Abstract

U Europi otprilike 580 000 ljudi godišnje oboli od afazije - stečenog poremećaja izražavanja i razumijevanja govora koji se javlja kao posljedica oštećenja mozga, najčešće nakon moždanog udara. Zbog brojnih poteškoća koje se javljaju kao posljedica afazije javljaju se i brojne klasifikacije afazija. Rehabilitacija afazije dugotrajan je proces koji zahtjeva maksimalan angažman rehabilitatora, pacijenta te njegove obitelji. Razvitkom tehnologije došlo je do napretka na području rehabilitacije općenito, a samim time i na području rehabilitacije afazije. Uvođenje novih tehnologija olakšalo je izvođenje rehabilitacije kod pacijenata koji nisu bili u mogućnosti dolaziti u određene ustanove na terapiju. Pod novim tehnologijama se smatraju pametni telefoni, tableti i aplikacije korištene na njima uz aplikacije virtualne i proširene stvarnosti. Cilj ovog rada jest prikaz istraživanja korištenja iPad-a i dostupnih aplikacija, tehnologije virtualne stvarnosti te ideja korištenja tehnologije proširene stvarnosti u rehabilitaciji afazije.

Abstract (english)

In Europe, approximately 580 000 people suffer from aphasia each year – an acquired disorder of speech expression and comprehension that occurs as a result of brain damage, most commonly after a stroke. Due to the numerous difficulties that occur as a result of aphasia, numerous classifications of aphasia also occur. Rehabilitation of aphasia is a lengthy process that requires maximum involvement of the rehabilitator, the patient, and his family. With the development of technology, progress has been made in the field of rehabilitation in general, and thus in the field of aphasia rehabilitation. The introduction of new technologies has facilitated the implementation of rehabilitation in patients who could not come to certain institution for therapy. New technologies include smartphones, tablets and the applications used on them also virtual and augmented reality applications. The aim of this paper is to present research on the use of iPads and available applications, VR technology and the idea of using AR technology in aphasia rehabilitation.
