Abstract

Osobe treće životne dobi jednaki su pojedinci kakvi su bili i ranije tijekom života, a mnogi od njih će po odlasku u mirovinu imati više vremena za sebe i svoje potrebe. Prestanak radnog odnosa ne znači i prestanak aktivnog života. Rad je motiviran biblioterapijom za osobe treće životne dobi i kako im može poboljšati kvalitetu života.
S obzirom na to da je demencija bolest koja se veže uglavnom uz tu dobnu skupinu, opisane su radionice vođenog čitanja za oboljele od te bolesti i njihove obitelji. Također, poetska terapija se pokazala izrazito korisnom u radu sa starijim osobama pogotovo kad je riječ o čitanju naglas. Biblioterapija neće biti uspješna ako voditelj nije dovoljno kompetentan i voljan za rad s ovom grupom korisnika. Također, mjesto gdje se provodi radionica je također važno pa je opisana i uloga narodne knjižnice kao mjesta gdje se osoba osjeća sigurno i ugodno.
Intervju koji je proveden s knjižničarskom savjetnicom Ljiljanom Sabljak izniman je vrijedan doprinos radu. Sabljak je istaknula osnovne karakteristike vođenog čitanja kao i konkretne savjete oko uloge knjižničara kao voditelja te odabir idealne literature.

Abstract (english)

People who are at the older age are the same people they were earlier in life. But now most of them will have more time for themselves. Once they retire it does not mean they stop being active. This paper is motivated by the idea of bibliotherapy for older people and what it can do to improve their life.
Dementia is a disease that is mostly connected with this age and it is described how bibliotherapy is being held for people who suffer from this disease. Also, examples of poetry therapy workshops show us how poetry can help people cope with different problems. Bibliotherapy will not be succesfull if a librarian or a person conducting it is not willing to work with older people or doesn't believe in it's effect. Education and good will is a must for a person who leads bibliotherapy workshops. Also, public libraries are perfect places for bibliotherapy because it is a place where people feel comfortable and where they enjoy themselves.
An interview held with Ljiljana Sabljak is a valuable part of this paper. Sabljak described what is characteristic for bibliotherapy, who can lead workshops and what competence they must have. Also, what is the best literature to use and how does work with odler people looks like.
