Abstract

Hrvatska naglasna norma česta je tema polemika i jezikoslovnih rasprava i kao takva
smatra se jednom od najproblematičnijih normi hrvatskoga jezika. Obuhvaća strogo normativna
pravila, kojih se mnogi ne pridržavaju, dok bi njezino učenje bilo uspješnije kada bi se temeljila
na realnom govornom stanju. No i to je gotovo nemoguće jer je svaki izgovor individualan i
teško ga je normirati. Problemi kodificiranja ortoepske norme dovode do razilaženja između
kodificirane norme i jezične uporabe.... More Zbog čestih nepoštivanja ili nemogućnosti poštivanja
naglasnih pravila pojavile su se dublete, supostojanje dvaju naglasnih inačica na jednoj riječi.
U prvom dijelu diplomskog rada daje se teorijski pregled promišljanja onih autora koji se bave
hrvatskom naglasnom normom. U istraživačkom dijelu rada ispitivao se sociofonetski pristup
naglašavanju dubleta u hrvatskom jeziku. Ispitane su preferencije s obzirom na različitu vrstu i
mjesto naglaska, a ispitanici su bili prosječni hrvatski govornici i polustručnjaci, koje su činili
studenti diplomskih studija fonetike, kroatistike i lingvistike. Zaključak rada temelji se na
rezultatima istraživanja. Rezultati istraživanja pokazali su da se najčešće krši pravilo prema
kojem se ne smiju naglašavati unutarnji slogovi višesložnih riječi. Utvrđena je i tendencija
naglašavanja imenica koje završavaju na -ost i -or s dugosilaznim naglaskom na središnjem
slogu kod višesložnih riječi, a to je primijećeno i kod naglašavanja toponima i imena država.
Neki primjeri potvrdili su i neutralizaciju kratkouzlaznog i kratkosilaznog naglaska. Doprinos
rada je i tablica (Tablica 4.) koja donosi popis najpoželjnijih oblika kojima je utvrđen status, a
bilo bi poželjno da kao takvi uđu u rječnike. Na kraju rada nalazi se metodička komponenta s
prijedlogom nastavnih sati u kojima će se obrađivati naglasni sustav hrvatskoga standardnoga

Abstract (english)

The Croatian accent norm is a frequent topic of controversy and linguistic debates and
as such is considered one of the most problematic norms of the Croatian language. It

encompasses strictly normative rules, which many do not adhere to, while its learning would
be more successful if it were based on real use. But even that is almost impossible because each
pronunciation is individual and difficult to standardize. The problems of codifying the orthoepic
norm lead to a discrepancy... More between the codified norm and language use. Due to frequent
disregard or inability to follow accent rules, doublets appeared, the coexistence of two accent
versions on one word. The first part of the thesis gives a theoretical overview of authors who
deal with the Croatian accent norm. The research part of the paper examines the sociophonetic
approach to emphasizing doublets in the Croatian language. Preferences were examined with

respect to the different type and place of emphasis, and the respondents were lay and semi-
professional, made up of graduate students of phonetics, Croatian and linguistics. The

conclusion of the paper is based on the results obtained in the research. The results showed that
the rule most often broken was accentuating the inner syllable of polysyllabic words. Results
also showed tenedency of accentuating nouns that end with with –ost and -or with long-falling
accent on middle syllable of polysyllabic words, which was also noted in accentuation of
toponyms and country names. Some of the examples confirmed neutralization of short-rising
and short falling accents. Contribution of this paper is also Table 4 which brings the list of most
preferable accent versions. Methodological component can be found at the end of the paper
with proposition of teaching hours which will analyze accent system of croatian standardized
