Abstract

Internet stvari (IoT) zaslužan je za mnogobrojne inovacije u poslovnom i privatnom sektoru. Svojom mogućnosti razmjene ogromne količine podataka i komunikacijom sa Internetom i pametnim uređajima olakšava svakodnevicu. Koristi se ponajviše u industriji, zdravstvu te za pametne domove i gradove. Predviđa se još veća primjena IoT uređaja u budućnosti. S povećanom primjenom, javljaju se također i problemi. U ovom slučaju su to sigurnosni izazovi i problemi očuvanja i zaštite privatnih podataka. Ti se problemi u IoT sustavima javljaju zbog velikog broja međusobno povezanih uređaja koji zatim postanu osjetljivi na neovlaštene napade s drugih uređaja. Nesigurni IoT sustavi također uzrokuju sigurnosne probleme za ostatak Interneta. Budući da će Internet stvari samo napredovati, potrebno je poduzeti sigurnosne mjere kako bi se zaštitila individualna privatnost i istodobno omogućile i poticale inovacije u IoT domeni.

Abstract (english)

The Internet of Things (IoT) is responsible for many innovations in the business and private sectors. With its ability to exchange huge amounts of data and communicate with the Internet and smart devices, it makes everyday life easier. It is mostly used in industry, healthcare and for smart homes and cities. An even greater use of IoT devices is envisaged in the future. With increased application, problems also arise. In this case, these are security challenges and problems of preserving and protecting private data. These problems in IoT systems occur due to the large number of interconnected devices that then become vulnerable to unauthorized attacks from other devices. Insecure IoT systems also cause security problems for the rest of the Internet. Since the Internet of Things will only continue to expand and prosper, security measures need to be taken to protect individual privacy while at the same time enabling and encourage innovation in the IoT domain.
