Abstract

Cilj ovog istraživanja bio je ispitati ulogu dispozicijske zapošljivosti u ponašanjima traženja posla te brzini prvog zaposlenja nakon stjecanja diplome te na taj način pridonijeti spoznajama o odnosima između karakteristika zapošljivosti koje su se pokazale važnima u radnom kontekstu u Hrvatskoj i pronalaska posla na kompetitivnom tržištu rada. Istraživanje je usmjereno na populaciju mladih visokoobrazovanih ljudi koji su zbog manjka radnog i praktičnog iskustva u nepovoljnom položaju na tržištu rada. U istraživanju je sudjelovalo 815 mladih ljudi visoke stručne spreme. Istraživanje je provedeno putem online upitnika u LimeSurvey sustavu, a u ovom radu su uz mjere dispozicijske zapošljivosti korišteni različiti sociodemografski podaci: pitanja o struci, godini završetka studija, duljini nezaposlenosti nakon studija te ponašanju traženja posla. Rezultati ovog istraživanja pokazuju da ispitanici koji postižu više rezultate na radnoj samoefikasnosti i proaktivnosti posao počinju tražiti ranije, odnosno još za vrijeme studija. No, povezanost dispozicijske zapošljivosti i brzine zaposlenja nije potvrđena u ovom istraživanju. Kao jedini statistički značajan prediktor duljine nezaposlenosti pokazala se godina završetka studija. Ispitanici koji su studij završili recentnije u prosjeku su kraće bili nezaposleni.

Abstract (english)

The aim of this research was to examine the relationship between dispositional employability in job search behaviors and the length of unemployment after graduation, thus contributing to the understanding of the relationships between employability characteristics that have proved important in the working context in Croatia and finding a job in the competitive labour market, among a group of young highly educated people who are disadvantaged in the labor market due to their lack of work and practical experience. The survey sample consisted of 815 young people with a university degree. The survey was conducted through an online questionnaire in the LimeSurvey system, and in this thesis besides the Dispositional Employability Scale, we took into consideration sociodemographic variables, profession, year of graduation, length of unemployment after graduation and the job-seeking behavior. The results of this study show that respondents who achieve higher scores on work self-efficacy and proactivity start looking for work earlier, during their studies. However, the relationship between dispositional employability and length of unemployment was not confirmed in this study. The only statistically significant predictor of the length of unemployment was the year of graduation. Respondents who completed their studies more recently were on average shorter unemployed.
