Abstract

U ovom se radu prikazuju božićni običaji triju skupina Hrvata koji žive u Vojvodini. To su banatski Hrvati, srijemski Hrvati i bački Hrvati Bunjevci. Rad komparativno analizira običaje koji se odvijaju od početka adventa do Sveta tri kralja. Također su prikazani i običaji vojvođanskih Hrvata koji žive u Zagrebu, a koji su ujedno i članovi Društva vojvođanskih i podunavskih Hrvata. Prikaz i komparacija običaja temelji se na objavljenoj literaturi i podatcima prikupljenim kvalitativnim etnološkim istraživanjima, primarno polustrukturiranim intervjuima s kazivačima. Glavni je cilj ovog diplomskog rada prikazati božićne običaje te ukazati na promjene i sličnosti među praksama vojvođanskih Hrvata.

Abstract (english)

This thesis presents the Christmas customs of three groups of Croats living in Vojvodina: the Banat Croats, the Syrmian Croats, and the Bačka Croats, also known as Bunjevci. The paper provides a comparative analysis of the customs observed from the beginning of Advent to the Feast of the Epiphany. Additionally, it explores the customs of Vojvodina Croats residing in Zagreb, who are also members of the Association of Vojvodina and Danube Croats. The overview and comparison of these customs are based on published literature and data collected through qualitative ethnological research, primarily semi-structured interviews with informants. The main objective of this thesis is to present these Christmas customs and to highlight both the changes and similarities in the practices of Vojvodina Croats.
