Abstract

Žene su se u posljednjih nekoliko desetljeća u mnogim područjima približile uspostavljanju ravnopravnih odnosa s muškarcima, no mnogobrojna su područja i sfere u kojima se postizanje ravnopravnosti i dalje čini teško dostižnim. Jedno od takvih područja su tradicionalno muški sportovi, u kojima su žene manjina kada se govori o profesionalnom bavljenju sportom, ali i kada se govori o posjećivanju i praćenju toga sporta. Nogomet je sport koji u Europi, pa tako i u Hrvatskoj, prati velik broj ljudi te se mnogi mladi i odrasli bave profesionalnim ili rekreativnim igranjem nogometa. Međutim, ženski nogomet nikada nije
uspio ostvariti popularnost kao muška verzija istoga sporta, a žene na nogometnim tribinama i dalje su rijetkost. Sa željom da se istraži kakva su iskustva žena koje posjećuju nogometne tribine i s kakvim se situacijama susreću kao manjina u tradicionalno muškom području, provedeno je dvanaest intervjua s mladim djevojkama koje su barem jednom u protekloj godini
posjetile neku nogometnu utakmicu. Analizirajući njihova iskustva, dolazi se do zaključka kako su formalne razlike u pristupu muškarcima i ženama vrlo male ili nepostojeće, no nepisana pravila koja određuju kako bi se žene trebale ponašati na tribinama i dalje su izražena. Također, odnos obitelji i okoline ukazuje na to da se mnoge djevojke susreću s čuđenjem i/ili
podsmjehivanjem zbog svoje ljubavi prema nogometu, a većina ih smatra kako su komentari i propitkivanje njihove autentičnosti zapravo uobičajene i šaljive prakse te ih neke i same podržavaju. Sugovornice su istaknule kako osjećaju pozitivne emocije na tribinama, vole posjećivati nogometne utakmice i sviđa im se atmosfera na stadionima, no većina ih je svjedočila i negativnim iskustvima povezanim s ponašanjem drugih sudionika na tribinama, dok su neke od njih i osobno doživjele neprimjerene komentare ili ponašanja.

Abstract (english)

In recent decades, women have made significant strides towards establishing equitable
relationships with men in many areas; however, numerous domains and spheres still present
challenges in achieving gender equality. One such area is traditionally male-dominated sports,
where women constitute a minority in both professional engagement and attendance. Football
is a sport that attracts a large audience in Europe, including Croatia, with many young people
and adults participating in professional or recreational football activities. However, women's
football has never achieved the same level of popularity as its male counterpart, and women in
football stands remain a rarity. To explore the experiences of women attending football matches
and the situations they encounter as a minority in this traditionally male domain, twelve
interviews were conducted with young women who attended at least one football match in the
past year. Analyzing their experiences reveals that the formal differences in access for men and
women are very minimal or nonexistent; however, unwritten rules about how women should
behave in the stands are still prevalent. Additionally, the reactions from family and peers
indicate that many young women face astonishment and/or ridicule due to their passion for
football, with most considering comments questioning their authenticity as commonplace and
humorous, and some even supporting such remarks. The interviewees expressed positive
emotions while in the stands, enjoyed attending football matches, and appreciated the
atmosphere in stadiums. Nonetheless, most of them also reported negative experiences related
to the behavior of other attendees, and some personally experienced inappropriate comments or
conduct.
