Abstract

U radu se obrađuje razvoj enkripcije tijekom i nakon hladnog rata, te kakvu je ulogu razvoj enkripcije imao i dan danas ima na opću sigurnost javnosti i na koji naći se regulira, odnosno na koju se problematiku nailazilo u prošlosti i sadašnjosti. Kroz rad se prikazuju mogućnosti i uporaba suvremene enkripcije s obzirom na podlogu dobivenu iz njenog razvoja kroz prošlost.
U radu se tema prikazuje putem istraživanja provedenih na temelju izabrane literature i analize materijala koji pridonose shvaćanju problema informacijske sigurnosti i enkripcije. Metodom usporedbe postojećih materijala i evidencija pojašnjava se doprinos društvu kroz nove i stare tehnologije, te se upozorava na moguće opasnosti u području sigurnosti. Događaji koji su pridonijeli razvoju tehnologije i društvenog pomaka se također detaljno opisuju s obrazloženjem pobliže objašnjavaju njihovu ulogu u okviru odabrane teme.
Hipoteza rada je kako enkripcija postaje jedna od središnjih polja zanimanja u informacijskome svijetu i kako se kroz dugi niz godina u pitanje postavljala njezina relevantnost i potreba, kao i opasnost.

Abstract (english)

This paper addresses the development of encryption during and after the Cold War, as well as the role that the development of encryption has played and continues to play in the overall public security and how it is regulated, including the issues encountered in the past and present. The paper presents the possibilities and uses of modern encryption based on the background obtained from its development through history. The topic is illustrated through research based on selected literature and analysis of materials that contribute to the understanding of information security and encryption problems. By comparing existing materials and records, the contribution to society through new and old technologies is explained, and the potential dangers in the field of security are highlighted. Events that have contributed to the development of technology and social shifts are also described in detail, explaining their role within the chosen topic. The hypothesis of the paper is that encryption becomes one of the central fields of interest in the information world, and over many years, its relevance, necessity, and dangers have been questioned.
