Abstract

U ovom se radu analizira i uspoređuje fenomen zoosemije u hrvatskom i turskom jeziku. Zoosemija se definira kao višeznačnost imenica za životinje. Leksički mehanizmi koji dovode do višeznačnosti (polisemije) jesu leksička metafora, metonimija i sinegdoha. U ovom je radu naglasak na metaforičkim pomacima značenja iz domene životinja u domenu ljudi, predmeta, raznih pojava i sl. Metonimija i sinegdoha djeluju predvidljivo prema zadanim formulama, stoga ne rezultiraju kreativnim značenjima poput onih koji su izvedeni leksičkom metaforom. Rad sadrži korpus hrvatskih i turskih zoosemnih riječi koji je nastao prikupljanjem sekundarnih značenja iz raznih rječnika, drugih korpusa i internetskih izvora. Na temelju tog korpusa analizira se obrada zoosemnih leksema u hrvatskoj i turskoj leksikografskoj tradiciji i utvrđuje se koji se metaforički prijenosi podudaraju, a koji se razlikuju u dvama jezicima.

Abstract (english)

In this thesis the phenomenon of zoosemy is analysed and compared in both Croatian and Turkish. Zoosemy is defined as the polysemy of nouns for animals. Lexical mechanisms that lead to the polysemy are: lexical metaphor, metonymy and synecdoche. In this thesis the emphasis is put on the metaphorical extension of meaning from the domain of animals to the domain of humans, objects, different phenomena, et cetera. Metonymy and synecdoche affect meaning extensions foreseeably according to the given formulae, and therefore do not result in creative meanings such as the lexical metaphor. This thesis contains a corpus of Croatian and Turkish zoosemic lexemes that was created by collecting secondary meanings found in various relevant dictionaries, web corpora, and Internet sources. On the basis of this corpus the research on zoosemic lexemes in the Croatian and Turkish lexicographic tradition is analysed and it is determined which metaphorical transfers are the same and which are different in the two languages.
