Social media is a powerful tool which enables its users to connect, explore and enjoy an endless source of information and entertainment. Oftentimes that content is consumed in English, and with countless hours spent online, it is bound to influence the English knowledge of its users. The main part of the paper presents the results of the survey conducted among the three generational groups. Društveni mediji su moćan alat koji korisnicima omogućuju povezivanje, istraživanje i uživanje u beskrajnom izvoru informacija i zabave. Velika većina sadržaja na društvenim mrežama je na engleskom jeziku, što može utjecati na znanje engleskog jezika kod korisnika. Stoga će ovaj rad analizirati percipirani utjecaj društvenih medija na četiri ključne engleske vještine pisanja, čitanja, govora i slušanja kod učenika osnovnih, srednjih škola i studenata u Hrvatskoj.
