Abstract

Cilj ovog istraživanja bio je bolje razumjeti učinak vršnjačke podrške na korisnike usluga udruga koje pružaju psihološku podršku. Analizom petnaest intervjua sugovornika iz tri udruge koje pružaju usluge vršnjačke podrške, uočena je važnost ovog pristupa u poboljšanju kvalitete života osoba s preprekama mentalnom zdravlju, važnost vršnjačke potpore u osnaživanju pojedinaca te jačanju njihovih socijalnih mreža podrške. Sugovornici su izrazili zadovoljstvo vršnjačkom podrškom koju dobivaju putem organizacija civilnog društva, te su dali preporuke za njeno poboljšanje, uključujući povećanje broja stručnjaka i grupa za podršku, financijsku kompenzaciju za rad peer vršnjaka i osiguravanje adekvatnog prostora za aktivnosti udruga. Ovo istraživanje pruža vrijedne uvide i potiče daljnja istraživanja o vršnjačkoj podršci u Hrvatskoj s ciljem unaprjeđenja službenih programa mentalne skrbi i poboljšanja korisničkog iskustva, sve u interesu pozitivnog učinka na korisnike.

Abstract (english)

The aim of this research was to better understand the impact of peer support on service users of associations providing psychological support. Through the theme analysis of fifteen interviews with participants from three peer support organizations, the importance of this approach in improving the quality of life for individuals with mental health challenges was observed, as well as the significance of peers in empowering individuals and strengthening their social support networks. The participants expressed satisfaction with the peer support received through civil society organizations and provided recommendations for its improvement, including increasing the number of professionals and support groups, providing financial compensation for peer work, and ensuring adequate space for association activities. This research offers valuable insights and encourages further exploration of peer support in Croatia, aiming to enhance official mental health care programs and improve the user experience, all in the interest of a positive impact on service users.
