Abstract

U radu će se istražiti razvoj operacijskih sustava za mobilne uređaje, s posebnim naglaskom na iOS i Android, koji su trenutno najzastupljeniji. Analizirat će se njihov međusobni utjecaj kroz vrijeme, njihove sličnosti i razlike, te će se usporediti njihova arhitektura, mogućnosti i performanse. Osim navedenog, analizirat će se specifičnosti mobilnih uređaja i hardverski zahtjevi za navedene operacijske sustave. Istražit će se na koji način je hardver utjecao na razvoj softvera i obratno. U sklopu rada će se dati pregled promjena na tržištu mobilnih uređaja i istražiti koji su faktori utjecali na njih. Na kraju će se opisati trend, odnosno procijeniti daljnji razvoj operacijskih sustava i mobilnih uređaja.

Abstract (english)

The paper will explore the development of operating systems for mobile devices, with special emphasis on iOS and Android, which are currently the most popular. Their mutual influence over time, their similarities and differences, and their architecture, capabilities and performance will be compared. In addition to the above, the specifics of mobile devices and hardware requirements for the mentioned operating systems will be analyzed. It will be investigated how hardware has influenced software development and vice versa. As part of the paper, an overview of the changes in the mobile device market will be given and the factors that influenced them will be investigated. At the end, the trend will be described, that is, the further development of operating systems and mobile devices will be assessed.
