Abstract

Ovaj rad je podijeljen u tri djela. Prvi dio se odnosi na narodne knjižnice i obuhvaća njezin nastanak, definiciju, ulogu, zadaće pa tako i vrste metoda za vrednovanje njezine uspješnosti. Drugi dio se odnosi na povijest Gradske knjižnice Samobor. Od njezina osnutka do danas. Također razmatraju se njezine usluge i ciljeve koje nudi zajednici. Treći dio rada je analiziranje godišnjih izvješća Gradske knjižnice Samobor kroz period od devet godina prema različitim parametrima kao što su broj članova, posjeta itd. Sa tim razmatranjima bi se zaključno dobio uvid u razvoj knjižnice.

Abstract (english)

This paper is divided into three parts. The first part refers to public libraries and includes its origin, definition, role, tasks, and types of methods used for evaluating its performance. The second part is related to the history of the Samobor City Library from its foundation until today. It also mentions services and goals it offers to the community. The third part of the work is the analysis of the annual reports of the Samobor City Library over a period of nine years regarding various parameters such as the number of members, visits, etc. With these considerations, an insight into the development of the library would be obtained.
