Abstract

Ljudske ostatke kao izloške veoma često možemo vidjeti u muzejima, galerijama i drugim sličnim kulturnim ustanovama. Međutim, iako se većina navedenih ustanova drži zakonskih i etičkih smjernica, upotreba ljudskih ostataka u muzejima treba biti pažljivo razmotrena i uravnotežena s poštovanjem prema izloženim tijelima i njihovim obiteljima te vjerskim i kulturnim uvjerenjima i potrebama znanstvenih disciplina i kulturne baštine. More pravnoj i fizičkoj zaštiti, te o pitanju etičnosti i svrsi izlaganja ljudskih ostataka u muzejskom prostoru i drugim kulturnim ustanovama. U sklopu rada provedeno je anketno istraživanje s ciljem utvrđivanja stavova opće populacije Republike Hrvatske o etičnosti izlaganja ljudskih ostataka. Za potrebe rada oblikovan je upitnik kojeg je ispunilo 234 ispitanika. Analizom podataka utvrđeno je utječu li različite osobne odrednice, poput spola, dobi, obrazovanja, sektora djelatnosti i religijskih uvjerenja, na stavove o etičnosti izlaganja ljudskih ostataka. Iako postoji statistički značajna razlika u stavovima s obzirom na pojedine osobne aspekte, većina ispitanika u Republici Hrvatskoj ima izuzetno pozitivne stavove vezane uz čuvanje i prezentiranje ljudskih ostataka. Abstract (english)

We can often see human remains as museum objects in museums, galleries and other cultural institutions. However, although most of the listed institutions hold on legal and ethical guidelines, the use of human remains in museums should be carefully considered and balanced with respect for the exhibited bodies and their families, as well as religious and cultural beliefs and the needs of scientific disciplines and cultural heritage. More legal and physical (preventive and curative) protection, and the issue of ethics and the purpose of displaying human remains in museums and other cultural institutions. As part of the thesis, a survey was conducted with the aim of determining the attitudes of the general population in the Republic of Croatia on the ethics of displaying human remains. For the survey, a questionnaire was created that was filled out by 234 respondents. The analysis of the data determined whether different personal variables, such as gender, age, education, work sector/status and religious beliefs, influence attitudes about the ethics of displaying human remains. Although there is a statistically significant difference in attitudes with regard to individual variables, the majority of respondents in the Republic of Croatia have extremely positive attitudes on displaying and curating human remains.
