Abstract

Ingmar Bergman definitivno je jedan on najvećih švedskih filmskih autora. Njegov opus sastoji se od preko 50 filmova uz mnoga druga djela. Jedan od najznačajnijih utjecaja na njega imao je Victor Sjöström, koji se najviše iskazao za vrijeme Zlatnog doba švedskog filma. Sjöström je igrao ključnu ulogu u Bergmanovim Divljim jagodama. U filmu se očituju fantastični motivi koji služe kao prolaz u prošlost. Ovaj film isprepleten je autobiografskim motivima i Sjöströma i Bergmana, što im je omogućilo tako plodnu suradnju. U Sedmom pečatu tematizira se smrt i religijska pitanja, projicirana iz Bergmanovih vlastitih misli. Priroda također nosi važnost u filmu budući da se pojavljuje kao akter u radnji. Bergman se je, došavši u kontakt sa Sjöströmom, vezao za staru slavu švedskog filma te stvorio tradiciju u povijesti filma koja je uvelike obilježila 20. st.

Abstract (english)

Ingmar Bergman is definitely one of the greatest Swedish filmmakers. His opus consists of over 50 films along with many other works. One of the most significant influences on him was Victor Sjöström, who performed most during the The Golden Age of Swedish Cinema. Sjöström played a key role in Bergman's Wild Strawberries. The film reveals fantasy motifs that serve as a passage to the past. This film is filled with autobiographical motifs about both Sjöström and Bergman, which allowed such fruitful collaboration. The Seventh Seal deals with death and religious issues, projected from Bergman's own thoughts. Nature also carries importance to the film as it appears as an actor in action. Bergman was, once he came in contact with Sjöström, linked to the old glory of swedish cinema and created a tradition in the history of cinema that marked the 20th century.I
