Abstract

U ljubavnim vezama odnosi moći i kontrole često su (ne)verbalno prisutni i komunicirani te su nerijetko (ne)osviješteni. Nerijetko su i razlogom prekida ljubavne veze. Prema mnogim autorima društveno-humanističkih znanosti, potreba za moći i kontrolom ljubavnih odnosa proizlazi iz pokušaja pojedinca za zadovoljavanjem vlastitih potreba. U radu se odnosi moći promatraju kroz teoriju izbora Williama Glassera te istraživanje parova u ljubavnim vezama Jean - Claudea Kaufmanna. Teorijom izbora pokušava se dati odgovor kako živjeti vlastiti život, a pri tome imati skladan ljubavni odnos. Cilj diplomskog rada je kvalitativno promisliti ljubavnu vezu i partnerski odnos te problematizirati odnose moći i izvanjske kontrole u istoj, unutar postojećih društvenih okvira i kroz teoriju izbora.

Abstract (english)

In romantic relationships, power and control are often (non)verbally communicated, and can thus often be unseen factors leading to a relationship breakdown. According to many experts of social and humanities sciences, need for power and control in romantic relationships is generated by individual's attempts to satisfy his or her personal needs. In this paper, power relations are viewed and problematized through William Glasser's Choice theory and Jean – Claude Kaufmann's research of couples in romantic relationships. Using Choice theory, we attempt to provide answers as to how to live our on lives and thereby have harmonious romantic relationships. The purpose of this master's thesis is to analyze and define romantic relationships and to problematize their power relations and external control through the social frameworks and Choice theory.
