Abstract	Rad pobliže opisuje vedske škole u modernoj Indiji, važan aspekt očuvanja dugogodišnje tradicije i same vedske baštine koja se tisućljećima prenosila isključivo usmenom predajom. Takav sustav škole se održao i u suvremenom svijetu, pri čemu se očuvala i većina nastavnih metoda i strategija. Znanja koja su se tada prenosila nisu bila u tolikoj mjeri koncentrirana na činjenična znanja kao što je to često slučaj u školskim sustavima današnjice. Vedske su škole specifične te se vežu za razne posebnosti kao što je boravak učenika u učiteljevom domu, gdje se u biti odvija i njegova izobrazba. Također, metode učenja i poučavanja Veda odražavaju vrlo dobro razrađenu mnemotehniku koja je mnogim školskim sustavima nedostižna.
