Proces učenja djece nije moguće odvojiti od okruženja jer djeca svoje znanje i razumijevanje kreiraju, tj. konstruiraju i sukonstruiraju na temelju vlastite aktivnosti u bogatom i poticajnom okruženju. Kako djeca svijet spoznaju putem svojih osjetila, važno je omogućiti im takvo okruženje u kojem će djeca kroz istraživanje i igru dolaziti do novih spoznaja. The process of children's learning can't be separated from the environment because children create, i.e. construct and co-construct their knowledge and understanding on the basis of their own activities in a rich and stimulating environment. As children learn about the world through their senses, it is important to provide them an environment in which children will gain new knowledge through research and play. The aim of this paper is to examine the views of educators on the way they organize the spatial-material environment that leads to the development of children's senses. The results of the research indicate the necessity of spreading awareness of the importance of the development of children's senses, but also the necessity for continuous improvement in this area, in which the pedagogue has a key role.
