Abstract

Eksperimentalno određene mjere osjetljivosti na bol pokazale su se kao dobar prediktor postoperativne boli, razvijanja kronične boli i odgovora na tretman kronične boli. Kako je eksperimentalno određivanje osjetljivosti na bol relativno kompleksan postupak, pojavila se potreba za razvijanjem mjere osjetljivosti na bol koja bi bila efikasnija alternativa eksperimentalnom mjerenju, te su kao potencijalni odgovor na tu potrebu Ruscheweyh i sur. More Cilj ovog istraživanja bio je ispitati psihometrijske karakteristike hrvatskog prijevoda UBO, odnosno, njegovu faktorsku strukturu, konvergentnu valjanost i pouzdanost. Istraživanje je provedeno putem online upitnika te je u njemu sudjelovalo 822 sudionika. Nakon provedene faktorske analize metodom glavnih komponenti, utvrđeno je jednofaktorsko rješenje, što nije u skladu s ranijim provjerama strukture ovog upitnika, koje su rezultirale dvofaktorskim rješenjem (UBO-umjeren i UBO-manji). Konvergentna valjanost upitnika provjerena je ispitivanjem korelacije rezultata na UBO s rezultatima na Upitniku o katastrofiranju boli Sullivana i sur. (1995), Skali emocionalne stabilnosti te usporedbom s normativnom samoprocjenom osjetljivosti na bol. Utvrđene su statistički značajne niske i umjerene korelacije tih mjera s rezultatom na UBO, što potvrđuje zadovoljavajuću konvergentnu valjanost UBO. Pouzdanost UBO izračunata je metodom unutarnje konzistencije te se pokazala zadovoljavajućom. S obzirom na određene nedostatke provedenog istraživanja, potrebna su daljnja istraživanja psihometrijskih karakteristika hrvatskog prijevoda ovog upitnika te su u radu dane smjernice za njih. Less

Abstract (english)

Experimentally determined measures of pain sensitivity have shown to be predictive of postoperative pain, of development of chronic pain and of response to chronic pain treatment. As measuring pain sensitivity experimentally can be relatively complex, there is a need for developing a measure that would serve as an efficient alternative, and so Ruscheweyh at al. (2009) developed Pain Sensitivity Questionnaire (PSQ) as a potential solution. The aim of this study was to examine psychometric... More characteristics of the Croatian PSQ translation, that is, to examine its factor structure, convergent validity and reliability. The data was collected through an online survey with 822 participants. Following a principal components factor analysis, a one-factor solution was found, which was not in line with previous studies of PSQ structure, which resulted in a two-factor solution (PSQ-moderate and PSQ-minor). Convergent validity of the questionnaire was verified by examining the correlation of the results on PSQ with the results on the Pain Catastrophizing Scale by Sullivan at al. (1995), Scale of emotional stability and by comparing the PSQ results with the normative self-assessment of sensitivity to pain. Significant low and moderate correlations of these measures with the result on PSQ were obtained, which confirmed the satisfactory convergent validity of PSQ. The reliability of PSQ was calculated using the internal consistency method and proved to be satisfactory. Given the lackings of this research, further research on the psychometric characteristics of the Croatian translation of PSQ is needed and so guidelines for it are outlined. Less
