Abstract

Devedesetih godina u Velikoj Britaniji pojavio se in-yer-face theatre, odnosno kazalište krvi, znoja i sperme. Odlikovale su ga brutalne scene nasilja i seksa te vulgaran jezik. Ubrzo se in-yer-face theatre proširio i ostatkom Europe te je utjelovljen pojam nove europske drame. Abstract (english)

In the nineties, in-yer-face theatre, or theatre of blood, sweat and sperm, emerged in the United Kingdom. It was characterized by brutal scenes of violence, sex and vulgar language. Soon, in-yer-face theatre spread throughout the rest of Europe and New European Drama was established. New European Drama has also been recognized in South Slavic literature, with Macedonian playwright Dejan Dukovski and Serbian playwright Biljana Srbljanović as its main representatives.
