Abstract

U ovom diplomskom radu raspravlja se o sokratovskoj metodi poučavanja koja se odlikuje konceptom kritičkog i konzistentnog mišljenja, poučavanjem bez učitelja te uvjerenjem u regenerativnu snagu filozofije. Propituju se mogućnosti sokratovske dijaloške metode i njezine primjene u nastavi filozofije. Ponajprije se razmatra dijaloška forma kao metodički postupak, razjašnjava se što ona uopće jest te naglašava njena važnost za samu nastavu filozofije. Nadalje se preciznije prikazuje Sokratova elenhistička dijaloška metoda. Detaljnije se razrađuje dijaloški oblik u kojem sudjeluje dvoje ravnopravnih sugovornika te u kojem se postupno ukazuje na prividnost uvriježenog znanja. Takvo se pak uviđanje prividnosti ili mnijenja umjesto znanja smatra prvim korakom u procesu stjecanja znanja te se nadalje koristi kao pretpostavka za daljnje istraživanje koje završava „porađanjem istine“. Takvo se teoretsko razlaganje dodatno potkrepljuje i konkretnom analizom dijelova Platonovih dijaloga. U posljednjem dijelu rada izlaže se primjena sokratovske metode u nastavi filozofije te se sukladno tome navode prednosti (aktivan umni rad, uspostavljanje novih veza i zaključaka o proučavanim pojavama i idejama, stvaranje kritičkog mišljenja...) te nedostaci (prezentacija novih nastavnih znanja, provjeravanje znanja, vremenska neekonomičnost...) takve metode.

Abstract (english)

In this master’s thesis the Socratic method of teaching is discussed, which is characterized by the concept of critical and consistent thinking, teaching without a teacher and the belief in the regenerative power of philosophy. The possibilities of the Socratic dialogue method and its implementation in the philosophy class are questioned. Primarily it is examined how the dialogue method functions as a teaching method, what it really is and the importance of it in the philosophy class. Furthermore, the Socratic method is demonstrated more clearly. The dialogue form, in which two peers participate and indicate the semblance of entrenched knowledge, is elaborated more in detail. The realization of semblance or opinion instead of knowledge is the first step in the acquisition of knowledge and is hereafter used as prerequisite for further research that ends in the “birth of truth”. Such theoretical dissemination is additionally supported by a concrete analysis of excerpts from Plato’s Dialogues. In the final part of the thesis, the implementation of the Socratic teaching method in the philosophy class is presented together with the advantages (active cognitive labor, establishment of new connections and conclusions based on researched phenomena and ideas, creation of critical thinking etc.) and limitations (presenting new subject matter, knowledge examination, time inefficiency etc.) of this method.
