Abstract

Cilj ovog rada je steći uvid u jedan moderan problem zvan informacijska preopterećenost. Saznati izvore, razloge te moguće posljedice i rješenja istog problema. Prve naznake problema informacijskog preopterećenja te prepoznavanja problema su se pojavile prvom polovicom 20. stoljeća. Naknadno pojava Interneta je znatno ubrzala i pogoršala proces informacijske preopterećenosti. Internet se počeo preplitati sa svakodnevnim životom sve više i više dok u konačnici nije postao ključan dio društva, informacijskog društva. Stvorivši to informacijsko društvo se problem informacijske preopterećenosti sve lakše očitovao. Kako se sa godinama Internet i tehnologija počela sve više integrirati u naše svakidašnje privatne i poslovne živote, stvorio se sraz između kulturološke paradigme te onoga što je očekivano od ljudi i tehničke realnosti te mogućnosti tehnologije koja nas okružuje svakodnevno i konstantno.

Abstract (english)

The goal of this paper was to get a better view at a very modern problem called information overload. To find out the sources, reasons. possible outcomes and ways to solve this problem. People first started recognizing the problem of information overload in the early 20th century. As time went by, the Internet was invented, this invention made the problem of information overload grow faster at an exponential rate. The Internet became intertwined with people's daily lives until finally becoming a crucial part of our society, the information society. As a result, the problem of information overload started being more prominent. As the Internet and other technologies started being integrated into our daily private and business lives it made a huge chasm between the cultural paradigm and the technical reality of our surroundings, resulting in even more cases of information overload.
