Abstract

U ovom je radu prikazan lik boginje Here u Homerovu spjevu Ilijada. Heru se najprije stavlja u kontekst olimpskih bogova, a zatim se navode i analiziraju njezina najvažnija pojavljivanja u spjevu u kojima Hera ili direktno utječe na radnju ili izaziva nekakvu reakciju drugih likova. Sama analiza njezina lika podijeljena je na dva aspekta njezine ličnosti, ženski/zavodnički i božanski. U prvom je aspektu naglašena njezina uloga Zeusove supruge pa je većina prizora obraĎenih u tom dijelu rada analiza njezina i Zeusova odnosa. U drugom je aspektu stavljen naglasak na njezinu božansku stranu, pri čemu se većina analiziranih prizora odnosi na njezinu ulogu u zaštiti Grka u spjevu.

Abstract (english)

This thesis depicts the character of the goddess Hera in Homer's Illiad. Hera is initially placed in the context of the Olympian pantheon, following which her most prominent appearances in stories and myths in which Hera either directly or indirectly influences events are explained and analyzed. The analysis is divided into the two aspects of her character; one decidedly seductive and feminine, the other divine. In the aforementioned, an emphasis is placed on her role as the wife of Zeus and the analysis of their relationship and interactions. The analysis then shifts to the divine aspect of her character during the second part, in which her role as guardian and guide to Greek characters is focused on.
