Abstract

U ovom radu istraženi su elementi postmodernizma u kinematografiji američkog redatelja Quentina Tarantina. U prvom dijelu rada prikazane su teorijske odrednice postmodernizma, problematičnost definicije postmodernizma, te najvažnije ideje ključnih teoretičara postmodernizma poput Jeana-Françoisa Lyotard, Jeana Baudrillarda, Fredrica Jamesona i Linde Hutcheon. U drugom dijelu rada prikazane su specifične odrednice postmodernističke kinematografije, dok su u zadnjem dijelu rada prikazane karakteristike autorskog stila Quentina Tarantina, te analiza tri njegova filma - Psi iz rezervoara, Pakleni šund i Odbjegli Django.

Abstract (english)

This paper explores the elements of postmodernism in the cinematography of American director Quentin Tarantino. The first part of the paper presents the theoretical foundations of postmodernism, the challenges in defining postmodernism, and the most important ideas of key postmodern theorists such as Jean-François Lyotard, Jean Baudrillard, Fredric Jameson, and Linda Hutcheon. The second part of the paper discusses the specific features of postmodernist cinematography, while the final part of the paper examines the characteristics of Quentin Tarantino's auteur style, including an analysis of three of his films - Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, and Django Unchained.
