Abstract

U radu se obrađuje pojam moralnosti prema djelu Levijatan Thomasa Hobbesa. Cilj rada
je, pomoću relevantne literature i istraživačkih radova, istražiti koje su glavne značajke filozofije morala prema navedenom djelu. Moralnost je kod Thomasa Hobbesa neodvojiva od političke teorije u kojoj Hobbes analizira glavne koncepte koje možemo povezati s konceptom moralnosti. Koncepti koje ovaj rad istražuje jest specifična definicija prirodnog stanja u kojem se iznosi shvaćanje čovjeka kao egoističnog pojedinca, koji sebe može sačuvati jedino izlaskom iz prirodnog stanja i prihvaćanjem umjetno stvorene države, u kojoj izbjegava stanje rata i stvara uvjete za određivanje pravednog i nepravednog stanja. Rad se sastoji od tri cjeline. Prva cjelina je uvod u kontekst djela Levijatan s obzirom na filozofijsko razdoblje u kojem je Thomas Hobbes napisao djelo i uvod u istraživanje moralnosti kao pojma. Druge dvije cjeline obrađuju pojmovno shvaćanje moralnosti prema djelu Levijatan u odnosu na prirodne zakone i nastanak države, što su elementi Hobbesove političke teorije te, kao treći dio rada, pojmovno shvaćanje moralnosti u odnosu na Hobbesovo tumačenje ljudske prirode.

Abstract (english)

The subject of the Master's thesis is the concept of morality according to the book Leviathan by Thomas Hobbes. The aim of the thesis is to find out, based on the reading of the relevant literature, which are the main features of moral philosophy according to the book. Morality in Thomas Hobbes' philosophy is inseparable from his political theory, in which he analyses the main concepts that can be linked to his concept of morality. Concepts that are researched throughout this thesis are specific definition of the state of nature according to which we can define man as egoistic individual who can save his existence only by means of escaping the state of nature and accepting the state of artificially created state in which state of war does not exist and in which there are conditions that are created to establish just and unjust states. The thesis consists of three parts. First part is introduction to context of the book Leviathan based on a historical period in whitch Thomas Hobbes wrote the book and it is the introduction to research of morality as term. Other two parts are researching morality as a term based on the book Leviathan and according to the concepts laws of nature and development of a state, both witch are elements of Hobbeses political theory and as a third part, understading the term morality based on Hobbes understanding of human nature.
