Abstract

Isprepleteni odnos književnosti i filma moguće je primijetiti u području filmske adaptacije književnog djela. Kako bismo mogli proučavati adaptaciju bilo kojeg književnog predloška, potrebno je proučiti naratologiju. Stoga je središnja tema ovoga rada naratologija i elementi naratološke analize. Kada se govori o filmskoj adaptaciji književnoga predloška, vrlo često se spominje termin vjernosti. Povezani cilj rada je stoga istražiti jesu li ekranizacije odabranih Hrabalovih proza uspjele prenijeti značajke i osnovne karakteristike predloška na filmsko platno i možemo li za njih reći da su vjerne filmske adaptacije. U tome smislu, u radu se provodi naratološka analiza odabranih pripovijetki Bohumila Hrabala. Njegov književni opus bio je iznimno značajan, a mnogi njegovi romani i pripovijetke su adaptirani i ekranizirani, no ovaj je rad usmjeren na analizu kraćeg romana Strogo kontrolirani vlakovi i zbirke pripovijetki Oglas za kuću u kojoj više ne želim živjeti te njihovih filmskih ekranizacija, koje je adaptirao poznati češki redatelj Jiří Menzel.

Abstract (english)

The intertwined relationship between literature and film can be observed in the field of film adaptation of a literary work. In order to be able to study the adaptation of any literary template, it is necessary to study its narratology first. Therefore, the central theme of this paper revolves around narratology and the elements of narrative analysis. When talking about a film adaptation of a literary template, the term fidelity is often mentioned. The related goal of the paper is therefore to investigate whether the film adaptations of selected short stories managed to transfer the features and main characteristics of the template to the screen and whether we can say that they are faithful film adaptations. The narrative analysis of selected short stories by Bohumil Hrabal is conducted in this paper. His literary opus was extremely significant and may of his novels and short stories were book-to-screen adaptations (made into films). That being said, this paper is being focused on the analysis of two of Hrabal's short stories Ostře sledované vlaky (Strictly controlled trains) and Inzerát na dům, ve kterém už nechci bydlet (An advertisement for a house I don't want to live in anymore) and their film adaptations, which were maid by the famous Czech film director Jiří Menzel.
