Abstract

Posao nastavnika spada u poslove u kojima je povećan rizik razvoja stresa. Posljedice stresa na nastavnike utječu na nastavnu kvalitetu i ishode. Pedagog je stručni suradnik čija zadaća obuhvaća održavanje kvalitetnog nastavnog procesa i postizanja ciljeva škole. Stoga je u interesu pedagoga da spriječi razvoj stresa u glavnim akterima provedbe nastave. Cilj ovog rada je razumijevanje pojma stresa kroz perspektivu pedagoga kako bi jasno i spremno pristupili suočavanju i rješavanju stresa. Rad daje pregled problematike stresa i kako ona izgleda u Republici Hrvatskoj. Također, rad daje pregled uloge pedagoga i što je sve ključno da djeluje na problematiku stresa te koje su mu opcije i metode uopće dostupne. Na kraju se dolazi do zaključka da, iako se nastavnici suočavaju sa mnogim izvorima stresa, među ključnim izvorima se ističe socijalna komponenta, odnosno međuljudski odnosi i podrška i mentorstvo koje oni pružaju. To se vidi i u zajedničkom elementu koji povezuje načine preventivnog i prevladavajućeg djelovanja pedagoga na stres. Kroz njih sve je bitna stavka interakcije i komunikacije nastavnika i pedagoga. Njihov pozitivan odnos olakšava praćenje rada kako bi se o njemu promišljalo i potom poboljšavalo. Kvalitetni međuljudski odnosi su temelj suradnje, a suradnja je temelj stvaranja kulture škole otpornije na stresore.

Abstract (english)

The job of a teacher is under an increased risk of stress. The consequences of stress on teachers affect teaching quality and outcomes. A pedagogue is a professional whose task includes maintaining a high-quality teaching process and achieving the school's goals. Therefore, it is in the pedagogue’s interest of to prevent the development of stress in the main facilitators of teaching. The goal of this paper is to understand the concept of stress through a pedagogical perspective in order to clearly and readily approach coping with stress and solving it. This paper provides an overview of the issue of stress and how it manifests in the Republic of Croatia. Also, the paper gives an overview of the role of a pedagogue and what they need to act on the problem of stress as well as what options and methods are available to them. The paper concludes that although teachers face many sources of stress, the social component stands out. It represents interpersonal relationships with which comes social support and mentoring. The importance of the social aspect can also be seen in the common element that connects the resources and methods that pedagogues use to prevent and lower stress. Throughout all the methods, this common element is the importance of interaction and communication between teachers and pedagogues. Their positive relationship makes it easier to monitor the teaching process in order to reflect on it and consequentially to improve it. Quality interpersonal relationships are the basis of cooperation, and cooperation is the basis of creating a school culture that is more resistant to stressors.
