Abstract

Rad se bavi ispitivanjem otpornosti 21 hrvatskih glasnika na različite razine buke, primjenjujući teoriju glimpseva percepcije govora u bučnim okruženjima. Za analizu je korišten govorni materijal koji je prilagođen hrvatskom jeziku, dok je kao maska korištena buka govora (speech shaped noise, SNN) specifična za te govornike. Istraživanje je provedeno putem online upitnika. Glimpsevi u govornom materijalu analizirani su korištenjem MFCC prikaza, a rezultati upitnika prikazani su kroz matricu zabune. Glasnici se bolje prepoznaju u manje bučnom nego li u više bučnom okruženju, a glasnici koji imaju karakteristike među višim frekvencijama pokazali su se relativno otpornima na maskiranje bukom.

Abstract (english)

This paper investigates the resistance of 21 Croatian phonemes to various levels of noise, applying the "glimpsing" theory of speech perception in noisy environments. The analysis utilized speech material adapted to the Croatian language, with the masking noise being speech-shaped noise (SNN) specific to the speakers. The study was conducted using an online questionnaire. Glimpses in the speech material were analyzed using MFCC representations, while the results from the questionnaire were presented through a confusion matrix. Phonemes are better recognized in less noisy than in more noisy environments, and phonemes with characteristics in higher frequencies proved to be relatively more resistant to noise masking.
