U ovom je radu prikazan povijesni razvoj podcasta kao i platforme, oprema, vrste podcasta, prednosti i nedostaci te osvrt na podcast u Hrvatskoj, a naglasak je na podcastu kao knjižničnoj usluzi u hrvatskim knjižnicama. Podcasti su u svijetu vrlo popularan oblik komunikacije sa širokom populacijom slušatelja dok je u Hrvatskoj, iako ne toliko nov, taj vid komuniciranja i informiranja još uvijek nekako nedovoljno raširen, pogotovo u formi knjižnične usluge. Abstract (english)

This paper presents the historical development of a podcast as well as platforms, equipment, types of podcasts, advantages and disadvantages and a review of the podcast in Croatia, and the emphasis is on the podcast as a library service in Croatian libraries. Podcasts are a very popular form of communication with a wide population of listeners in the world, while in Croatia, although not so new, this form of communication and information is still to a certain degree insufficiently... This paper analyses and presents literary podcast of the Croatian Library for the Blind, "DigiLab" of the National and University Library, "ZKDruškanje (ZLAccompany of the Zagreb Library Association)", "Zvukmark – zabilježeno zvukom (Soundmark - marked by sound)" of the Library of Božidar Adžija and "Premalo čitam (I read too little)" of the Library and Reading Room "Fran Galović" Koprivnica.
