Abstract

Rad je usmjeren na etiku skrbi, posebno na razvoj empatije i moralni odgoj iz pozicije tog etičkog pravca. Prvi dio rada odnosi se na kratki pregled povijesti pojma empatija od njegovog korijena u terminu njemačke estetike romantizma “Einfühlung” do odnosa sa sličnnim pojmovima poput simpatija i utjecaja teorija moralnih sentimentalista na razvoj koncepta empatije. Pregledom suvremene definicije pojma empatija, njezinih vrsta i komponenta, rad se okreće etici skrbi. Drugi dio rada orijentiran je na istraživanje etike skrbi kao feminističke etici i alternative tradicionalnim etičkim pristupima uz fokus na rad i doprinos Carol Gilligan i Nel Noddings. Definirajući pojam skrbi te komponente skrbnog odnosa, pažnja se usmjerava na temeljnu ulogu empatije, ali i na pitanje primjenjivosti i primjerenosti drugih, srodnih pojmova poput simpatije i 'engrossment' na mjestu empatije. Rad se naposlijetku okreće razvoju empatije i moralnom odgoju iz perspektive etike skrbi kao i primjeni odgoja za empatiju i skrb u odgojno obrazovnim institucijama. Istraživanjem koncepata skrbi i njezinih implikacija za obrazovanje rad teži istaknuti važnost razvijanja empatijskih odnosa i razmatranja moralnih aspekata obrazovanja.

Abstract (english)

The work is focused on the ethics of care, especially on the development of empathy and moral education from the position of that ethical direction. The first part of the paper refers to a brief overview of the history of the term empathy from its roots in the term of German romantic aesthetics "Einfühlung" to the relationship with similar terms such as sympathy and the influence of the theories of moral sentimentalists on the development of the concept of empathy. By reviewing the modern definition of the term empathy, its types and components, the paper turns to the ethics of care. The second part of the paper is oriented towards the research of the ethics of care as a feminist ethics and an alternative to traditional ethical approaches with a focus on the work and contribution of Carol Gilligan and Nel Noddings. Defining the concept of care and the components of a caring relationship, attention is focused on the fundamental role of empathy, but also on the question of the applicability and appropriateness of other, related concepts such as sympathy and 'engrossment' in the place of empathy. The paper finally turns to the development of empathy and moral education from the perspective of ethics of care, as well as the application of education for empathy and care in educational institutions. By researching the concepts of care and its implications for education, the work aims to highlight the importance of developing empathic relationships and considering the moral aspects of education.
