Abstract

U ovome su radu prikazana najvažnija obilježja albuma Ministarstvo straha Arsena Dedića uz detaljniji osvrt na kontekst njegova nastanka. U prvome je dijelu istaknuta važnija biografija i bibliografija Arsena Dedića koja je na određeni način povezana s poetikom ili glazbom pjesama s albuma. Opisan je njegov dotadašnji književni i glazbeni stil kako bi se stvaralaštvo devedesetih godina 20. stoljeća moglo usporediti s ranijim stvaralaštvom. Budući da je album nastajao u ratnim i poratnim... More godinama, opisan je povijesni, književni i glazbeni kontekst koji je u određenoj mjeri utjecao na stvaranje albuma. Također, obilježja Dedićeva opusa devedesetih uspoređena su s obilježjima tadašnjih dominantnih književnih i glazbenih strujanja. U književnom su dijelu zatim interpretirane reprezentativne pjesme Arsena Dedića s obzirom na glavne tematske preokupacije, ljubavni i ratni diskurs, kao i pjesme Antuna Šoljana i Zvonimira Goloba koje je Dedić uglazbio i uvrstio na album. Glazbeni dio rada sadrži analize skladbenih postupaka u izabranim pjesmama: usporedbu postupaka s retoričkim figurama, način uglazbljivanja vlastite poezije, instrumentaciju i oblik pjesama, elemente jazza te postupak mijenjanja fokalizacije. Potonje je prikazano kako bi se uspostavila korelacija književnosti i glazbe. Konačno, prikazan je mogući interdisciplinarni pristup albumu radi mogućeg uvrštavanja Dedićeva opusa u nastavne programe. Less

Abstract (english)

This master's thesis covers most important features of Arsen Dedić's album Ministarstvo straha with special emphasis on the context of its creation. The first part highlights relevant details of Arsen Dedić’s biography and bibliography that are somehow linked to the lyrics or music of the songs from the album. The literary and musical aspects of his style were described in order to compare his works from the 1990’s with his earlier works. Considering the fact that this album was... More created during the Croatian War of Independence and the post-war years, it was also important to describe historical, literary and musical contexts that influenced the creation of the album. Also, characteristics of Dedić’s opus of the 1990’s were compared with the features of the dominant literary and musical currents of the time. Literary part of this thesis also includes interpretation of Dedić’s representative songs with regard to main thematic preoccupations, love and war discourse, and poems by Antun Šoljan and Zvonimir Golob, which Dedić set to music and included in his album. The musical part includes an analysis of compositional procedures in selected songs, a comparison of those procedures with rhetorical figures, an analysis of settings of own poetry to music with special attention to the instrumentation, form, elements of jazz and variable focalizations, in order to show possible correlations of poetry and music. Finally, an interdisciplinary approach to the contents of the album was presented in order to explore possibilities of including Dedić’s opus within teaching curricula. Less
