Abstract

Ovim istraživanjem ispitani su motivirajući stilovi kružnog modela nastavničkih stilova motiviranja: strukturirajući stil i stil koji podržava autonomiju, te njihove individualne i kontekstualne odrednice. Kako bi se pružili odgovori na zadane probleme, ispitana je povezanost nastavničkih motivirajućih stilova s mentalnim sklopom nastavnika i indikatorima uključenosti i neuključenosti učenika, kao i mogućnost objašnjenja motivirajućih stilova na temelju gore spomenutih prediktora. Istraživanje je provedeno online, a u njemu je sudjelovalo 209 nastavnika osnovnih i srednjih škola Republike Hrvatske. Od instrumenata su korišteni: Upitnik o situacijama u školi, Upitnik bihevioralne i emocionalne uključenosti i neuključenosti, Upitnik proaktivne uključenosti, Upitnik proaktivne neuključenosti te Upitnik mentalnog sklopa. Rezultati su pokazali pozitivnu povezanost nastavničkih motivirajućih stilova s indikatorima uključenosti i rastućim mentalnim sklopom, te negativnu povezanost s indikatorima neuključenosti, osim u slučaju bihevioralne neuključenosti i strukturirajućeg stila gdje povezanost nije pronađena. U hijerarhijskim regresijskim analizama za oba kriterija, u prvom koraku uvrštene su bihevioralna i emocionalna uključenost i neuključenost, u drugom proaktivna uključenost i neuključenost, te u trećem mentalni sklop. Svaki od modela objašnjavao je varijancu oba motivirajuća stila te je svakim novim korakom objašnjen dodatni dio varijance u odnosu na prethodni. Pojedini prediktori imali su samostalan doprinos, a među njima valja istaknuti proaktivnu uključenost i rastući mentalni sklop čije su veće razine objašnjavale oba motivirajuća stila, te bihevioralnu neuključenost čija je veća izraženost u sva tri koraka objašnjavala strukturirajući stil.

Abstract (english)

This study examined the motivating styles of the circumplex approach: structure and autonomy support, and their contextual and individual factors. To answer the research questions, the correlation between the motivating styles and mindset, engagement and disaffection indicators was examined, as well as the possibility of using the above-mentioned variables in explaining motivating styles. 209 elementary and secondary school teachers from the Republic of Croatia were a part of this online study. The subsequent scales were employed: Situations-in-School Questionnaire, Behavioral and Emotional Engagement and Disaffection Scale, Agentic Engagement Scale, Agentic Disengagement Scale and The Mindset Scale. The results illustrate that motivating styles correlate positively with engagement indicators and growth mindset, while they negatively correlate with disaffection indicators, except for behavioral disaffection and structure. In the hierarchical regression analysis for both criteria, behavioral and emotional engagement and disaffection were added in the first step, agentic engagement, and disaffection in the second, and mindset in the third. Every regression model was significant and accordingly every step had an incremental contribution to the explained variance. Within the contributing factors it is important to emphasize agentic engagement and growth mindset, which were explaining the variance of both motivating styles, while higher levels of behavioral disaffection explained structure in all the steps of the hierarchical regression analysis.
